Theatre icone

The play is designed as an amusing story about old old people interacting with complex health systems where health care staff, do their best despite battles, in France and England in the years 2000 to 2015.

The play recounts some intriguing realities of health care services: waiting, suffering, diagnosis, treatment, success, failure, confusion and sometimes a little neglect, all mixed up together, all involving battles to survive and finally be discharged to home and family.

The play is a mixture of fact and fiction. It pays tribute to wonderful care and achievements of overworked health care staff in complex environments, try so hard to meet the needs the ever increasing number of older and older people.

In 2015, people may retire at 65 years but with the new wonderful medical research (even deep brain stimulation) etc. they may well live on by 2025 to 95 years or even 100 years of age, before gently ¨passing on¨.

What to expect in the future? Perhaps a happy life old old people when, despite impossible problems they can still laugh …

It may induce some stress and the viewer may find the “Healthy minds and bodies” Section helpful.
