The first priority to being old and content is to feel personally responsible for your health.
Physical health is important but mental health is much more important.
Manage your health yourself by the way you decide to eat, drink, exercise, care and live your days, and then cheerfully accept the help of the others (doctor, nurse, social worker, friends, family etc.) as needed.
Accept personal responsibility because your mind can control your the body in so many powerful ways.
With a healthy positive mind, body problems can be either resolved or accepted, with a contentment which is wonderful for all around you.
Your success in managing your mental and physical health will be an inspiration to the memory of you in the ones you leave behind.
